Biography
Ronald S. Flowers
Director

Director Ronald S. Flowers 

Ronald S. Flowers is the Director of the Office of Labor-Management Programs (OLMP). Previously, he served as the Fleet Administrator for the DC Department of Public Works (DPW), where he co-founded the District’s first Labor-Management Partnership Committee in 1996. Flowers’ senior management experience spans 30 years in the public and private sectors and  includes serving as Executive Assistant to the Associate Superintendent, DC Public Schools; Acting Vice President for Student Affairs, University of the District of Columbia; Associate Vice President for Planning, Finance and Student Support Services, Chicago State University; and Dean of Students, Malcolm X College, Chicago, Illinois.  For the past 14 years, he has concentrated his skills primarily in the transportation and fleet services industry.

Flowers has received numerous awards and citations that include induction into the Distributive Education Hall of Fame, Outstanding Dean of Students award recipient, and outstanding Labor/Management Partnership Award recipient. As a recognized community leader, he is often asked to speak both locally and nationally at a variety of events.  Flowers leadership positions include: Chair of the Nation’s Capitol Chapter, National Association of Fleet Administrators (NAFA); Chair of the Audit Committee, NAFA; and Vice Chair of the Alternative Fuels Vehicle Committee, Metropolitan Washington Council of Governments. He serves as a board member of a local chartered school and neighborhood library. Flowers earned a bachelor’s degree in business administration from Bethune-Cookman College and a master’s degree in occupational education from Chicago State University.
